Church Family,

As elders, we deeply appreciate your prayers and patience with us as we have sought the Lord and counsel on what our reopening plan should look like. We have finalized our general plan that you can read below.  Please take the time and read over it carefully. Also, know that we labored much over these decisions. We recognize that some of you may have a different perspective or opinion that differs from where we landed. We understand that, but believe this plan is what will serve our church body the best in this particular season.

The details of the plan are below, but if you plan to attend live, we need you to register so we can count up total seats needed and maintain social distancing guidelines.

A few housekeeping items:

  • The office will continue to be open and operate during normal hours (Mon–Thurs 9:00 AM–5:00 PM).

  • The deacons are poised to serve, so if you are aware of any needs, please let the deacons know. There will be an email sent out on the Forum with info from our deacons. If you are not on the Forum and need assistance, please contact the church office and they will connect you with the deacons.

  • Sunday school and worship will be live streamed. You can access the livestream through our website,, or through our YouTube site,

  • Post exposure policy

Concerning tithes and offerings, please see below.

  • Mailing a Check: Make checks payable to Three Rivers Baptist Church. Our church address is 7452 Broad River Rd., Irmo SC, 29063

  • Drop-off during normal office hours: Mon–Thurs 9:00am–5:00 PM

  • Online Bill Pay through your bank

  • On Sunday June 7th, we hope to begin with Phase 1 of our reopening and regathering plan.

  • We will hold two services, 9am and 11am. The services will be divided alphabetically. More details will follow soon regarding what service to attend.

  • In order to follow social distancing guidelines, each service will have a cap of 100 in attendance. There will also be limited overflow seating in the Fellowship Hall available.

  • Our ushers will greet and seat everyone in the sanctuary according to social distancing guidelines. We ask that all families have their children and youth seated with them.

  • The sanctuary will be sanitized before, between, and after the services.

  • We will provide a mask-only space in the Lifehouse for those who prefer that environment. You may wear a mask in the sanctuary if you prefer, but you must wear a mask in the mask-only space. The church will not provide masks. You are responsible for bringing your own. *The CDC has recommended that children under 2 years old not wear masks, so please be aware they will not be able to enter the mask-only space.

  • We put together an Implementation Team made up of some elders, staff, and deacons to help prepare for our reopening. Please be in prayerful support of this team and be aware that our plans are fluid and can change if needed.

  • If you are in an at-risk category due to age or weak immunity, we highly recommend that you stay home and join us via livestream until we enter Phase 2.

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you stay home out of consideration and love to your church family. Please familiarize yourself with the symptoms of COVID-19—they range from mild to severe. The most recent symptoms from the CDC include the following: fever/chills, cough, difficulty breathing, body aches, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea.

  • After the service concludes, everyone will need to exit the building promptly in order for our cleaning team to have time to sufficiently sanitize. Our ushers will assist you in this. Once outside remember to still respect social distancing guidelines. Parents, we ask that you please stay with your children.

  • We ask that restroom use be limited for emergencies. Parents, please accompany your children to the restroom. Please limit restroom usage to 2 persons at a time.

  • There will be no coffee served during Phase 1.

  • Due to the concerns and uncertainty of what is called aerosol transmission, we are going to have music but not congregational singing. The experience will be making melody in our hearts to the Lord according to Eph 5:19 without our actual voices. This was a tough call and we recognize that not singing is a painful solution for the time being.

Finally, let's keep in mind the principles for God's gospel people regarding worship and living together, laid out in Romans 14:17-19.

17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

Christ Is All,

Please register as soon as you can for service so we can arrange seating as needed to meet our max capacity and social distancing guidelines. We would hate to have to turn anyone away at the door. Registering will help us know how many are coming and if adjustments need to be made like going to a different service, or finding other overflow seating options.
