Rob has served as a pastor of Three Rivers since 1999, when he, his wife Holly, and daughter Julie moved south from their home state of Pennsylvania. He received a B.S. in Education from Taylor University (Indiana), a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Episcopal Seminary (Philadelphia), and a Master of Theology (New Testament) degree from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), where he also did Doctor of Ministry course work. Rob came to saving faith in Christ shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Army at age 24.
Ryan grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where the Lord drew him to faith in Christ in 1996. Prior to coming to Three Rivers, he pastored a church in Iowa for seven years. He holds degrees from Columbia International University (B.A.) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and has been married to Emily since 2002. They have been blessed with four children: Elijah, Leah, Abbey, and Karis. Ryan is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoys family time, books, good coffee, and the occasional round of golf. His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 66:1-2.
Paul was raised as a missionary kid in Ethiopia and Kenya. Upon graduation from high school in 1981 he attended John Brown University, a small Christian liberal arts college in Arkansas, where he received a BA in English and an associate’s degree in Biblical Studies. He has also done some graduate work at Columbia International University. Paul and his wife Tracy spent two years in Bolivia, South America as missionary teachers before moving to Columbia in 1990. Three Rivers has been their church home since August of 1990, and Paul has served as the Associate Pastor since 1997. The Cumbers have been blessed with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, reading, walking, bird watching, drinking good coffee, eating dark chocolate and spending time together.
Director of Youth and Evangelism
Andrew grew up outside of Atlanta, GA. He studied at North Greenville University, graduating in 2006 with a B. A. in Christian Studies. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Andrew was associate pastor at Victory Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He helped facilitate its merger with Kenwood Baptist Church and regularly worked as an evangelist among the homeless people of the area. He became Director of Youth and Outreach at Three Rivers in the autumn of 2017. He is married to Kelly, and they have four children.
Bethanie was raised in a Christian home. She grew up living in several different states including Maryland, Texas and Iowa. She met her husband, John, in Iowa and they have been married since 1992. They moved to South Carolina in 1993 and joined Three Rivers Baptist Church in 1994. They have four children: Abigail, Michaela, Lydia and Seth.
