Rob has served as a pastor of Three Rivers since 1999, when he, his wife Holly, and daughter Julie moved south from their home state of Pennsylvania. He received a B.S. in Education from Taylor University (Indiana), a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Episcopal Seminary (Philadelphia), and a Master of Theology (New Testament) degree from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), where he also did Doctor of Ministry course work. Rob came to saving faith in Christ shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Army at age 24.
Paul was raised as a missionary kid in Ethiopia. Upon graduation from high school in 1981 he attended John Brown University, a small Christian liberal arts college in Arkansas, where he received a bachelor’s degree in English and an associate’s degree in Bible. He has also done some graduate work at Columbia International University. Paul and his wife Tracy spent two years in Bolivia, South America as missionary teachers before returning to the US. They have been a part of Three Rivers since 1990, and Paul has served as the Associate Pastor since 1997. The Cumbers have 4 children.
Bethanie was raised in a Christian home. She grew up living in several different states including Maryland, Texas and Iowa. She met her husband, John, in Iowa and they have been married since 1992. They moved to South Carolina in 1993 and joined Three Rivers Baptist Church in 1994. They have four children: Abigail, Michaela, Lydia and Seth.
Children’s Ministry Director
Gail was born and raised in the Columbia/Lexington area. She began attending Three Rivers in 1983. She and her husband, Michael were married in 1984 and have two adult children, Katie and John. Gail became our Children's Director in 1996. She has a heart for children as well as a love for music and theater. Our Children's program includes Musical Theater, VBS, Sunday school and Bible Drill. She finds that working with children through these venues offers a variety of opportunities to share Jesus. In her spare time, Gail enjoys working in local theater groups, cooking and visiting Edisto Beach.
Rick grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He married his wife Ann in 1980, and in 1987 the Graff’s moved to South Carolina to attend Columbia Bible College. Rick graduated in 1992, receiving a bachelor’s degree in General Ministries with a concentration in theology. He began studies in Biblical Counseling in 1993 and earned certification through the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (now ACBC - Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) in 1997. Rick has been serving as an elder since 1995, and as Staff Counselor since 1997. Rick and Ann have been members of Three Rivers Baptist since 1990. They have two married adult children, now having children of their own.
